I’ve often stated that my crochet is meditative, thus creating the perfect conditions for the thriving of creativity. While ideas for new items can pop up at any time I crochet, I still try to set aside some time specifically for mental brewing. Usually I work on patterns that I have purchased. It’s relaxing to let someone else do the thinking!
Sometimes I get complete ideas by the time I finish a project but most of the time I have to make more than one piece to get from point A to B. Depending on whether or not the work evolved and what it is, these meditation pieces either get sold, or donated to a local shelter.
